Side-tracking today........

....From my birthday gifts....although I still need to continue with showing a couple more after taking the photos.

Actually got to vintage-sasha's blog in time today (although two other Sasha people had already beaten me to it!) to choose and buy this really dainty little shorts and smock set from the outfits that were left.

Photobucket

I chose this 1969 Frido girl who now wears a Global Cossette wig (unfortunately now discontinued) to firstly wear this lovely little outfit.

Photobucket

She insisted that she wanted to be taken in front of the beautiful English country garden backcloth that Shelly gave me for my birthday.

Photobucket

The green print of her dress really enhances and compliments both her and the scenery.

Photobucket

This little tot, who I remember originally was a Party Dress doll though with badly falling hair that I finally had to cut off (hence the wigging) has been with me over many years now and I love her sweet face and soft overall colouring.
Have again saved my favourite photo of these few until the last.

Photobucket

Yet more grateful thanks Sarah for the listing of these photos. Sarah informs me that Blogger has been updated again and has kindly offered to help and talk me through the changes on the phone when it happens to mine. How kind and thoughtful is that?

My second present from Uncle Steve

'Look everyone, we've got another present here from Uncle Steve!'

Photobucket

He opens the box wider and carefully and excitedly lifts out the contents whilst the others look on in excitment and anticipation.

Photobucket

Nik holds up a gorgeous little grey Steiff bear in a sailor's cap and scarf for everyone to see. Turn him round, Nik, so that we can see him properly.

Photobucket

Then puts him lying down carefully whilst he starts gets out the other contents.

Photobucket

The little bear tells Nik that it's his own little rowing boat that he has bought with him.

Photobucket

A million thanks Uncle Steve for this truly wonderful SECOND birthday present.

Photobucket

Nik puts him into the boat and the little bear takes up the oars and prepares to practice his rowing technique.

Photobucket

It is agreed that this little bear will be Nik's very own since he has no toys as yet having only just arrived and joined The Brood. Nik decides to call him 'Ste' after Uncle Steve.

Photobucket

Nik places Ste snuggly inside his gillet so that he won't get lost when they are ''out and about' but still allowing him to see all around.

Photobucket

Nik is wearing his Dollydoodle hoodie and tracksuit and a thick gilet, maker unknown.

Photobucket

Armfuls of grateful thanks heading down to you Sarah.

Dollydoodle baby sleepsuit from Jackie

Firstly to say that I will take a photo of the baby 'quirky' eyebrows and add to a post asap as it isn't showing up on these photos below.

Today we are featuring this delightful little Dollydoodle's Easter bunny themed baby sleepsuit given to me by Jackie Rydstrom for my birthday.
Millions of thanks Jackie for this wonderful surprise present. Just what I needed as this new little tot hadn't one.

Photobucket

It came just in time for my new Easter baby (as yet un-named as trying to think of something that links her to Easter or April) to wear as she settles down for her first night amongst the Brood.

Photobucket

Here she is totally enjoying being out on the grass scattered with the fallen rose petals.

Photobucket

Another facial close up photo showing her lovely, not too full hair style before she puts on her nightcap.

Photobucket

I just love these adorable top-notched hats that Judith makes to keep their little heads warm in the dropping night-time temperatures.
Oh just noticed that there is a slight glimpse of THE quirky eyebrow in the next two photos!

Photobucket

I'm ready now to be picked up and taken indoors.

Photobucket

Ever grateful thanks to Sarah for these listings.

Flowers from Kate

My local Sasha and teacher friend sent me this FABULOUS 'tied' arrangement of flowers carefully chosen to blend in with my lounge colour scheme.

Photobucket

I do hope that these photos do them justice as they are truly exquiste and are still as fresh as ever even after one and a half weeks.

Photobucket

Kate always uses this florists because of their wonderful lasting blooms.

Photobucket

The one thing that doesn't come across here is their magnificent perfume which is delightfully filling the whole bungalow. My sister popped by last night and the moment she walked through the front door she mentioned the fabulous aroma. A million thanks Kate for giving me (and my visiting family and friends) such delight and pleasure.

Photobucket

Grateful thanks too to Sarah for her surpreme help.

New life at Easter

Easter means 'New Life' so I'm sidetracking a little here from my birthday gifts  to Easter Sunday, the day after my birthday to allow this little minty, gold tagged 1969 quirky eyebrowed baby Nightdress to make her debut. Why....?

Photobucket

She is an Easter gift from 'me to me', the first opportunity for a worthy occassion for a special gift since I already had my Gotz boy Niklaus lined up as a birthday gift.

Photobucket

She is being photograhed today to show the dearest twin teddy bears that Jill Mackley gave me for my birthday (more thanks Jill) and which this little tot has claimed for herself (....AND will later this week be photographed wearing Jackie Rhydstrom's gift.)

Photobucket

She has a really sweet little face that easily allows me to forgive the fact that her hair has just started to fall, shedding a couple of hairs but if tugged (...which naturally I shan't be doing!)

Photobucket

Meanwhile she is seen here in a Cuddlelugs (Shelia Vincent) finely knitted cotton matinee coat and little shoes that I bought especially for her (as she was arriving nude from  the US) off sashadolluk's website.

Photobucket

Couldn't resist showing yet another photo of her gorgeous face and lovely hairstyle.

Photobucket

Yet more thank yous heading down to Sarah W for her kindness and time.

More presents....

I LOVE chocolate especially the Easter eggs at Easter and this is one of my favourite brands, Ferrero Rocher, given to me by one of my brothers when he and his wife came over on my birthday.
(Afraid to say that there isn't much left of it now!)

Photobucket

Jill Mackley sent me this most attractive and useful box of notelets and the little lilac handbag containing the delightful little twin teddies which my new Easter Frido baby has snapped up for herself on her arrival here. (She and the teddies will be featured in a later post.) Many, many thanks Jill for your thoughtfuless in remembering my birthday.

Photobucket

More Easter themed birthday gifts from Sarah Price. The mini candy Easter eggs have long been gobbled up by the Brood. There was  at least two for each of them so luckily there were no squabbles. Some of the older kids are in the process of making me an Easter egg tree with the pastel ribboned eggs that were enclosed in the basket whilst the 'Just for You, Me to You' little bear trying to desguise himself as an Easter bunny looks on. Hopefully I'll take some photos when they finally finish it. Many thanks Sarah for your super birthday gifts.

Photobucket

A selection of more scrumptious chocolates to keep up my high sugar diet (good job that I'm not dietabetic!) More grateful thanks to another of my brothers, Steve (for my Easter treat) and two of my home friends .

Photobucket

Many thanks again Sarah. I'm now thinking that it's a good job that my birthday only comes once a year!
