More wonderful surgery recovery presents.

An absolutely stunning bunch of tulips from Alan, the husband of one of my best friends who unfortunately lost her fight against Cancer last May. They certainly bought a touch of Spring into my home with their sunshine colouring.

Another burst of sunshine yellow heralding that Spring is on it's way from Ingrid, one of my sister-in-laws.

A magnificent bouquet from my local teaching and Sasha friend Kate (who also knits superbly for Sasha when she has the time) and carefully chosen to match my living room colour scheme.

Delicious Thorntons chocolates from my good Sasha friend Steve and his family who has, like Sarah Williams religiously phoned me almost daily to check on my progress and talk my favourite conversation, 'Sashas, Sashas, Sashas!'

A gorgeous little pink fleece baby coat from Judith of Dollydoodles to cheer me up and keep a baby warm in this cold wind that has been circulating around here.

A lovely box of delightful notelets and an Emma Bridgewater pencil case from another Sasha friend Jill Mackley who makes the most beautifully smocked little Sasha dresses when she has the time.
No excuse now for me not to be writing my 'thank you' letters.

(As you can see two of the babies wanted to get into the action.)

A very dainty and pretty bouquet of Carnations from Ruth and Lisa Hartley (again emphasising the pinks incorporated into my living room colour scheme)that arrived the day after I had come out of hospital to welcome me back home. (Even now, three and a half weeks later they are still as fresh and looking as good as when they first came.)

I would like to thank you ALL for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity in thinking of me in such wonderful ways. I am most appreciative and feel truly blessed to have such fabulous friends.

Holly is welcomed into the Lilac Society.

Membership here requires one to be wearing a lilac based Dollydoodle Hoodie and leggings. (Obviously new recruits are going to be limited to how many lilac creations Judith of Dollydoodles makes in the future.)

Three of the dolls are 1960s Gotz slate eyed dolls and Holly is an early crude orche eyed girl.

A few of my girls have followed the 'Lilac Group's' example and formed this 'In the Pink' gang.

This new society has been formed wearing pink based Dollydoodles leisure suits and is looking for new members to join.

Here we have two 1960s slate eyed Gotz girls, one tanned skinned and the other pale and with her hair re-rooted with mohair by Bettina. The third member is a Frido NP re-rooted by Lisa Hartley.

Starting the change into lighter Spring wear. Not yet warm enough here for the Summer printed cottons.

Trendon 1970 wide faced tot (who has had her starting to oxidise to green eyes and eyebrows enhanced back to their original brown by Shelly) and is feeling much more comfortable out of her fake fur white coat and white Dollfie Mechanic's boots now the weather has warmed up.
(This little OOAK Ruthsdoll's outfit is normally worn by Belle.)

Trimmed slanting fringe.

Rather a lot of photos here but I couldn't quite decide just which I liked the best as she is quite a photogenic little doll.

Special surgery recovery sketch from Shelly.

This little Sasha sketch accompanied this poem from Shelly.
Many thanks Shelly for such a delightful and personal gift.

If we could be real for just one a day,
then this is where we would be,
Standing on your doorstep,
with presents, one, two, three.

If we could be real for just one day,
before the rising of the moon,
We would kiss you on the cheek and say,
we hope you feel better real soon.
by Shelly Baxter.

A very special thank you to the Sasha_Mart member who posted this delightful little photo.

Unfortunately when I first spotted it my eye sight had been so weakened by the recent surgery that I was unable to read the small print underneath and when I went back to it some days later it had obviously gone into a member's personal folder and so I wasn't able to track it down again without actually going through ALL the folders..
I was absolutely delighted with it and thank you very much.

Another lovely 'recovery from surgery' present.

A delightful little poppet of a doll for Sasha sent to me by Sarah Williams of vintage-sasha to open just before my recent operation. Many, many thanks Sarah for such a kind thought. Baby Sasha is thrilled with her.

Is she really just for me? Yes. Come here then.

....And I'll give you a big hug.

I think that I'm going to call you Little Sarah.

Would you like that?

Now just time for a little kiss.

Baby Sasha and her new toy chest.

We all know just how much young children like playing with large empty boxes (sometimes to our dismay even more than with the present that it housed) well it seems that these Sasha babies are the same judging by the antics of this little tot of mine with her new, not yet decorated, toy chest/box.

Trendon baby Nightdress now wigged in a Monique Doris wig due to falling hair.

She is wearing a delightful little dress and shorts by sasha*smiles.

Not quite big enough to lie down straight in it.

'Peek-a-boo.'
