Quirky has been chosen from the Sasha Brood (on account of the Easter themed photo) to wish all my blog followers a very happy Easter.
He is a 1969 Frido sexed baby boy wearing a Sashawardrobe fleece jacket and commercially made tights from The Doll Works and seen here playing with my empty Easter egg box ....though taken a few years ago as I haven't managed to find the time to do anything new this year and certainly haven't broken in to my 2012 chocolate egg as yet. Waiting for that pleasure hopefully today.
Many thanks Sarah for your help with listing his photo here.
Over this next week I shall try to take photos of my birthday cake, presents, cards AND of my birthday Sasha Doll but still have friends and family visiting over the next few days so will have to try to fit them in when I can.
Many, many thanks again to all of you who made my birthday such an unforgettable and special day.
Please scroll down to the previous post if you'd like to see the youtube that my daughter sent to me to finish off my day (although there isn't a Sasha Doll in sight there I'm afraid.)

A little on the late side!
For my birthday in 2007 Chon, my daughter gave me a CD in a beautifully covered in a floral wrapping paper sleeve but try as I could I was unable to view it on my laptop screen. On her next visit up here when we were shopping at The Trafford Centre near Manchester we went into the Apple shop there where Chon explained the situation with regards to the CD gift and how so far that I hadn't been able to see it. They very kindly ran it through one of their computers for me to watch. A few days later it went back south with her and basically that was the last I saw or heard of it until today when she sent it by DropSend for me to view - a lovely finish to my absolutely wonderful but hectic 71st birthday.
I am so thrilled to see it again that I want to share it with those of you who are interested but must warn you that unfortunately there isn't a Sasha Doll in sight but a very proud mother with her wonderful and very talented daughter.
Tomorrow I'll try to describe some of the photos in more detail but now I'm afraid that I'm exhausted and need to start to get ready for bed BUT before that I want to thank all of you who helped make this day unbelieveably extra special for me with your cards, gifts, visits, phone calls and emails. I feel truely blessed surrounded by such a large, loving and supportive family and so many caring FABULOUS friends ...and not forgetting my fun loving Sasha Brood who watch over me daily.

My 'Once-upon-a-time' mint in box Gotz doll
I had always dreamed of owing a MIB Gotz doll so was 'over the moon' when this girl arrived here in my first ever Gotz Sasha Doll box. I hardly dared to open it.
I immediately fell in love with her sulky and very determined look. She is a mid 1960s slate eyed large headed Gotz girl just oozing personality.
She originally came wearing the now famous Gotz navy and white checked Viyella dress and pants with navy Mary-Janes and white socks.
... but has chosen this time to put on one of 'Frocks and Socks' smocked dresses and JJ sandals and commercially made socks.
This dress actually has a matching head band but was obviously not to be found in time for her photoshoot so is making do with a length of navy ribbon until I can find the time to look through their overflowing three (going on four) large clothes boxes.
Have saved my favourite pose of this post until the very last.
My apologies as I'm now noticing the dust that has settled on her face due to my lack of feather-dusting of late. Just goes to show what an irregular house cleaning person I am as they stand/sit around everywhere gathering the dust.
Mountainous heaps of thanks to Sarah.

Finally....!!!
This Frido 1966 Developmental Jeans/farmpants girl has been quick enough this time to secure the choosing and wearing of this outfit that she has had her eye on since this time last year but has usually been 'pipped' to the post by one of my other blonde NPs.
Liking how the grey materials enhances her eye colouring.
For years I wasn't taken by these dolls with the brown eye-brows that over time had oxidised to this silver colour but when I spotted this doll for sale on Shelly's website I couldn't resist buying her.
This delightful outfit was designed and made by vintage-sasha and is worn here with Ruthsdoll's shoes. I just adore the use of the grey materials here and also have one of Sarah's pinafore and blouse sets in the same materials.
I'm quite pleased these days that my tastes in my Sasha dislikes are now changing over my many years of collecting so enabling me to purchase some of the dolls that I previously wouldn't have.
Sincere thanks to Sarah who must be getting fed up with doing all MY re-sizings and listings as well as her own!!!!

Not too sure here....
Wasn't too sure at first if I liked this doll's choice of outfit the colours being rather too much of a 'muchness' with her hair colouring.....
This 1966 Developmental Dungaree NP girl is wearing a vintage-sasha sweet little dress with Pinestreetstudio socks and JJ sandals.
....but the more I looked at her the better it got......different.....and in the end I rather liked it on her.
Thanks again Sarah for your invaluable help. So sorry that whilst tring to move photo no 12 up to the top of the post I broke the link and hence lost it.
Sarah, bless her, has now re-put in the 'lost' photo.

1968 Frido Single Fringe waif
This girl went straight from Shelly'e website to Brenda Walton for a complete spar and re-stringing before arriving here.
The transformation was wonderful as she could now stand and pose on her own and her trimmed hair was now flattened and under control although still very short on the top layers but at least her cut fringe was down on her forehead again and not reaching for the skies.
She has chosen a very smart navy cotton sailor styled dress with white trimmings by Pinestreetstudios and teamed it with ooak JJ bar shoes and commercially made socks.
I think that I did give her a name (Ameilia, Bethany?) but have since forgotten it so will have to trawl back someway through the blog to check.
Photo showing her wide face, eye painting and hair detail.
I haven't fully decided if she is definitely staying here for good so not as yet sorted out the various possiblilties of what's to be done with her badly chopped fringe and first few layers.
Tons of thanks heading down from here to Sarah.

New Specially ordered JJ sandals arrive
This is a 1967 Frido Brown Cord NP who arrived here in her large white box.
I must apologise for the rather dull photos today as have just realised that I had forgotten to lighten them a little with it being quite an overcast day when I took them.
This delightful dress from eseacaper arrived from the US on the same day as this doll came so the dress and doll came together nicely without me having to go through all the boxes of Sasha clothing trying to decide just what would suit her.
She has been photograhed in this dress before but with JJ navy sandals but have since asked Jean to make her these in a matching blue which I think really enhance the outfit especially with the pale blue socks.
Yes dear, your sandals are really lovely and perfect with your dress..
I'm afraid that she is still patiently waiting to go to Brenda Walton or for someone to come here to wash the dust from her hair as I've never done a hair wash as yet and would hate to get the water in the rooting holes and cause a falling out of the hair syndrome.
She I think has quite a different look with her round eyes and delicate colouring.
Millions of thanks to Sarah for her never ending task of resixing and downloading these photos. MUST TRY HARDER TO LEARN TO DO THEM MYSELF!
