Continuing the theme of my Three Frido Developmental girls

This is my third Frido developmental girl (as I hadn't got the photos together for the second, a red head Dungaree doll.)
This is a rare doll in the fact that she left the factory dressed in a Brown Cord dress rather than the usual Gingham outfit that was used only for the brunette girls in the first two years of production. She was up for sale at one of the big toy fairs in her special box labelled Brunette, Brown Cord....and this was how I bought her last year from Shelly's website. Will try and locate the photos of her in her box from the millions of photos stored in my 'pictures' when I have some spare time and ask Sarah if she could add them at a later date.

Photobucket

She was my 2011 Christmas Doll from 'me to me.' Here she is casually dressed in Dollydoodle leisure wear and commercially made converses ready to join the rest of the Brood in their playtime.

Photobucket

Another facial close up.

Photobucket

Here she is again in more Dollydoodle leisure wear. This was taken to include in my Christmas Dollydoodle-wear Sasha Book.

Photobucket

I think that this full on facial shot shows how really beautiful she is with that absolutely fabulous eye painting and overall colouring....reminding me of why I choose a doll just like this, rather than the other five styles available, for my daughter's second birthday.

Bundles of thanks now Sarah heading your way.

Making amends and showing a 1966 Frido Developmental NP

This doll was the very first developmental NP that I added to my collection. Until then I had never taken to these dolls with the unique 'silver' eyebrows due to the original brown paint oxidising.

Photobucket

She was originally a Jeans girl and came in her brown cord jeans and white blouse and sandals but here she is wearing a Pinestreetstudio outfit with manufactured shoes and socks.

Photobucket

When I was chosing a doll from the Galt Toy factory (close to the Frido/Trendon one in Stockport) for my daughter's second birthday gift there were six different dolls to select from. Firstly I eliminated the Ballet and Dungaree dolls as I wasn't keen on their red hair. Then I dismissed this Jeans doll as didn't care for the three-quarter length farmpants. Next to fall by the wayside was the Brown Cord girl since I didn't think that the colour of her dress did anything for her blue eyes. So I was left to choose between the Blue Cord girl and the brunette Gingham, finally deciding and coming away with the latter.

Photobucket

Since buying her I have been very lucky to obtain examples of both the red and brunette developmental girls to stand besides her.
She has beautifully soft hair with a full centre part. Apologies for the usual fly-way stray hairs! Getting to be a trade mark of mine since I quite clearly don't see them when taking the actual photographs, just when they appear in a large size on the computer screen and tghen it's too late to rectify.

Photobucket

The reason that she isn't wearing her beret is because I had just done her hair taking and securing the side pieces at the back and knew that pulling on her beret would mess it up.

Photobucket

More grateful thanks to Sarah.

Practising for the 2012 UK Oylmpic Gymnastic's display

Here is my 1966 Frido Ballet NP who is hoping to be chosen to take part in the 2012 UK Olympic gymnastic display about to start on one of her ribbon display practises.

Photobucket

She is wearing her new Dollydoodle pale peach gym 'trackie' with the gymnastic motif that arrived here today and commercially manufactured converses.

Photobucket

Unfortunately our Gymnastic ribbon display team didn't make it into the competition as they missed by one point as one of the ribbons became knotted in the challenge. Such a great pity as these girls had delayed taking their A-level examinations until next year in order to take part in this event.

This is my favourite of this group of photos capturing her very pretty face and colouring.

Photobucket

Photobucket

A lovely upward pose here showing the delightfully machine embroidered motif. Please note how the ribbon matches the colour of the motif's ribbon.

Huge thank you-s again to Sarah for her superb downloadings.

Another little vintage-sasha outfit spend

Treated myself to a little new dress from Sarah's vintage-sasha blog and seen here on my 1970s Trendon wide faced waif with her once 'beginning-to-go-green' eyes enhanced by Shelly.

Photobucket

I hadn't realised until one day Steve pointed out to me that I always seem to use the same Trendon/Gotz waif dolls when trying on any new outfits and when I thought about it later I realised how true that was.

Photobucket

The only reason for this that I can think of is because I maybe love these dolls probably more than the Frido earlier, mintier and rarer NPs, single fringe and the 1969 side-parts and the two-toned haired 1970/2 etc.

Photobucket

Sarah's Sasha outfits always have the most perfect fit and this little biscuit coloured background dress with its black flower print is no exception. Worn here with manufactured black socks and shoes.

Photobucket

Thank you once again Sarah for your help here.

A new outfit from vintage-sasha arrives AND a very happy St. Valentine's Day to you all

Fell in love with this outfit by Sarah W the moment I saw it on her blog. Adore the design and colouring, just perfect for the Sasha girls.

Photobucket

1970 Trendon Riplee, customised by Shelly, arrived here nude and needing a new outfit which, just as I thought it would, suits her to a 'T!'

Photobucket

She arrived holding this delightful single red rose made from wood ready to give me on Valentine's Day. Thank you Shelly for your thoughtfulness.

Photobucket

Wondeful little frilled detail on the smock which can be seen above. Nice new touch here Sarah.
Riplee is wearing an original Trendon Velvet wig which I had emailed to ask if I could buy when I first saw it for sale on Shelly's website... BUT she herself had already bought it.

Photobucket

One of my brothers and his wife gave me these for Valentine's Day. I just love these chocolates!

Yet MORE thanks to Sarah for her photo listings.

Anis gets to try out a slide

Early 1970s Trendon baby Anis asks if she can try one of the new little slides from Susan and chooses the pink one to match her Dollydoodle velour jacket.

Photobucket

Anis is a sexed baby girl who Bettina re-rooted in Mohair. She was the first baby that Bettina customised and caused quite a stir when she was listed on eBay.co.uk.

Photobucket

As you can see her eyes and eyebrows have slightly greened but in a lovely soft way.

Photobucket

I can see that Anis has even chosen to play with colour co-ordinated toys to match and enhance her softest of the softest velour jacket.

Photobucket

Hundreds of thanks again, Sarah.

Susan sent the Brood some delightful little hair slides.

Now are you sitting nicely on the chair because I've got something special to show you. No, that's not what I call 'sitting nicely'...turn around and sit properly!
Photobucket

Susan Bulger-Pomeroy saw these cute hair slides and very kindly bought my kids a packet when buying some for her Sasha baby collection. Many thanks Susan for your kindness and thoughtfulness. They are just delightful and the perfect size.

Photobucket

Don't they look lovely? They suit your hair style perfectly. Just like little jewels nestling in the night sky. Which colour do you like the best then?

Photobucket

They aren't all for you though but you can keep them in for a little while until the others come through and see them.

Photobucket

That's a good girl just keeping the one for yourself and sharing them with the other babies. This little later 70s baby White Suit without the raised eyelids is wearing the softest of the softest peach Dollydoodle fleece and Ruthsdoll's pink machine knitted tights.

Photobucket

Huge thanks coming your way again Sarah.
