World Book Day.

Just read on the Mart that it is World Book Day today so my 1990s customised by Kelly Wenarsky pale skinned Gotz Stella has quickly gone and chosen this book to read to celebrate the day.

Photobucket

It is 'The Little Goth Girl sticker paper doll book' by Ted Menten that was sent to them by him a little while ago.
It is one of the Dover Little Activity Books series and just the perfect size for the Sasha Dolls.

That's right, sit down at the table and lay it down flat before opening it so that the pages and corners don't get crumpled.

Photobucket

Open and turn the pages over very carefully. The first four have the clothing items that can be peeled off and then put on the doll on the final page.

Photobucket

Yes, there's the paper doll with her two black cats on the very last page of the book. Have you made up your mind as to what you are going to dress her in first?

As Ted says on the back cover there is....'A chic array of retro fashions offers tons of mix-and-match fun. Her dresses, jackets and skirts feature bold plaids, stripes and ruffles and each trendy outfit can be accessorised with wigs, hats, tights, boots and other accoutrements.'

This cute teenaged Goth girl sticker paper doll book has plenty of style- you can tell by her wardrobe of 28 reusuable stickers. I think that she loves fashion like you all do.

Huge thanks to Sarah who had to rush putting these photos on for me this afternoon as I hadn't realised it was book day being at the hospital for most of today with my Arthritic monthly checks, tests and monitoring.

A Thank You Card from Henry

Even though Henry was so busy getting ready and packing his suitcase for his holiday in New Zealand he made time to write this card to say thank you for the Dollydoodle white T shirt that we sent him from his 'needed for his holiday' list.

Photobucket

On the front is a lovely photo of him already dressed in his holiday gear and inside a picture of him in his Dollydoodle T-shirt and shorts, the latter given to him by Judith of Dollydoodles.

Franz, a Jackie Rhydstrom Gregor re-root and named Franz after her partner, as he looks so very like him with his blonde hair and style. Please read it out to us first.

Photobucket

Now, turn the card towards us so that we ourselves can read it. Oh, what a lovely well mannered and thoughtful boy Henry is. We do hope that you are having a wonderful time out there and can't wait to hear all about your adventures when you get back home.

Many, many thanks again Sarah.

2. Thelma's little cardi's and Steve's little teddy

First up on this second listing of Thelma's cardi's and Steve's Little King Steiff Bear is Annaliese a Trendon 1970 re-rooted by Jackie Rhydstrom wearing amainly green and yellow cardi with a hint of rusty-brown over a pretty little print dress outfit by vintage-sasha.

1960s Gotz ponytailed yellow eyed with lashes girl in a similar but paler brown and beige floral vintage-sasha dress with Pinestreetstudio socks and commercially made shoes. I think that this is perhaps my favourite of Thelma's little cardi's in grey, beige and white 4ply sock wool.

My Frido/Trendon 1969-70 wide faced Gingham doll's cardigan is darker with it's two tones of blue and brown with a touch of pink here and there which suits this brushed cotton checked smocked dress/outfit by Ruthsdolls.

Thelma's little cardi's and Steve's little teddy bear

This is the first of three posts featuring the above title.
Firstly we have a petite and minty FCP 1969/70 Frido/Trendon girl in a vintage-sasha dress and commercially made shoes and socks in a muticoloured (but predominately blues and greens) 4ply sock wool knitted by Thelma/Molly plus the Steiff 1951 little golden bear given to me by Steve for last Christmas.

This is Thelma's own pattern design and was purchased from her blog http://sashadollsboutique.blogspot.com

Photobucket

My 1968 Frido Fringe girl has one a similar Thelma cardi but in tones of green and rust with a hint of yellow, over another vintage-sasha Autumnal coloured floral dress set and commercially made shoes and socks.
Again featuring Steve's little golden Steiff bear.

Finally in this post a 1969 Frido Gingham doll with a discontinued Global cosette wig (due to falling hair) in a Nardia Vasconi? dress and manufactured socks under Ruthsdoll's distressed boots with a brown, beige, rust and hint of grey Thelma cardi over the top to keep the warmth in.
Steve's little bear getting in on the act again.

Ever grateful thanks to Sarah... who never complains of all this extra work.
