New Year lad arrives....

....and gets to grips with the FIRST of Shelly's Christmas presents, their very own re-cycling bin.
A minty 1969 in tube PJ boy arrives to celebrate the start of 2012 but he soon sheds his Pyjama outfit when he sees all the other lads in their Dollydoodle's wear.

Luckily I had ordered some jeans, a hoodie and gilet plus a saggy beanie from Judith and a pair of Ruthsdoll's lace ups ready for his arrival.
A close up of his wide face and beautiful eye paint.

He soon sets to work on reading the recycling instructions as to what is allowed to be put into this most useful re-cycling bin that Shelly so thoughfully gave 'The Brood' since she is aware of how good their mother is on this task.
Every little helps.

Next the 2012 collection dates have to be looked up as the bins are only collected fortnightly in East Cheshire.

Right! We are now well underway with the sorting and collecting. Yes, paper and cardboard items, plastic bottles and containers and bubble wrap can all go in.

Many thanks Shelly for this unusual and most useful gift. We all like to do our bit to save the environment and our landfills from being overfilled.

Thanks Sarah. So sorry that I'm having to ask you again to add my photos. Now that the festival donations and hostess gifts are ordered and almost sorted I'll have another attempt at downloading them myself.

  1. That is cute, what a great little recycling bin. It amazes me that all around the country you put different things in different bins, no two counties seem to be the same with what you put in them! Our bins are also collected fortnightly.

Your new PJ boy is gorgeous.

  3. Fabulous way to start the New Year. He's just perfect. My recycling is also every fortnight (in US), but we can't recycle bubble wrap (I take it to a shop that packages and posts items for you where they reuse it). The little drink bottles really add to the scene. They look to be the perfect Gregor size.

  5. CONGRATULATIONS... he's uber-handsome... he's perfect!

Dollydoodles might want to think about hiring him as a model... he wears the clothing so well! A very *boyish* outfit... my compliments.

His sized-so-right recycling bin *is* an unusual and clever gift... certainly thinking *green*. Hmm... this little chap just might grow up to be a famous environmentalist?

Simply... great photos (you have a wonderful imagination). Thank you so much... and thank you to Sarah W. for her assistance.

  9. We like to be a bit green keen in this house too and to see your new beautiful boy in his super outfit doing the right thing by our tiny island is a really good encouragement for his cousins here to do the same.
They all send their love to Aunty Kendal and the new relation! xx
