'Last of the Summer Wine'...ooops sorry, I meant 'photos' instead of the TV programme 'Last of the Summer Wine!'

While we here are still enjoying an Indian Summer' Fritz decided that he would enjoy a last few nights of camping out before the clocks go back and the colder weather sets in.

....So here he is erecting his smart tent (a copy of a real adult tent) and expertly adjusting the guy ropes.

'Good Morning' to you. Did you have a good night? Not cold at all?

Ready for your breakfast now?

As you can see Sarah is still listing these photos in this extra large format for me in spite of having to look after her family and design and sew her beautiful vintage-sasha clothing. Many thanks as always Sarah.

  1. Fabulous Kendal, looks like Fritz had great fun camping out. Although the days are lovely the last two nights have been rather too chilly for camping out, certainly in my mind, but I don't think I will let the 'boys' see that Fritz got to camp out otherwise I think I will have a mutiny on my hands.

Sarah is very kind helping you out with the photos.

  2. Great tent and Fritz is very good sleeping in his tent all alone!
I suppose Ross is to much of a sun lover to join him.

Ross and Fritz start fighting if they go camping together :( Surfing is in Ross’s blood, so he’s always singing this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2_wBbS7I08 ……..but he’s tone deaf and his singing upsets Fritz (a graduate of the Goethe institute)!!!! Ross is even worse when he starts on Bon Jovi songs :( :( :( Fritz wants to become a Toni and Guy boy when he grows up and enjoys singing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1rxMBA4w18

So, Fritz then explains to Ross how important the introductory line to this song,‘Caroline No’, is for a potential Toni and Guy boy: ‘Where did your long hair go, where is the girl I used to know?’ One of most important questions that occurs all the time within ‘A’ level hairdressing goes like this: Caroline is 40, her marriage hasn’t worked out, and her mother has just said to her: ‘Darling isn’t it time you considered cutting your hair to match your age?’ Caroline’s (who’s very posh and was once interviewed for a position within Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’) depression deepens and she replies (in tears):’but mummy I LOVE my long hair. Why should the length of a girl’s hair be temporally dependent?’ Caroline’s mother starts to get a cob on and waffles on about ‘mutton dressed as lamb’, followed by, ‘all that money your father and I spent on your Penrhos College education.’ This infuriates Caroline and the source of the accusation is based upon Caroline – who loves watching Gok’s ‘Fashion Fix’ – having a bash at emulating Gok’s construction of £1.50 tweed pencil skirt and a clutch bag......made from industrial cardboard :).

Fritz clearly has his work cut out with this exam question – apart from convincing Caroline that 40 is a wonderful age for a woman (and that crow’s feet are a sign of wisdom), he has to come up with some appropriate hair styles that will act as a suitable catharsis for Caroline’s depression. How on earth is he going to answer his exam question?

Ross regards all this as a load of old guff and has long departed for a fun ride on the Great Orme tram – that’s assuming he doesn’t fall over whilst attempting to board the tram :) :) :)

P.S I see that Fritz has forgotten his hair conditioner again – and clearly doesn’t own a Mason Pearson hairbrush!

  4. His mother owns a Maison Pearson hair brush though but the Sashas are not allowed to use it (not considered suitable due to the human hair's contents) as they have their own but obviously Fritz doesn't bother with any. It has seemed to get wilder by the day so I'm thinking that he needs to go to visit Brenda Walton for some hair taming treatment.

  5. Hi Kendal,
Totally enjoyed Fritz's last overnight in his tent. He is a charmer... that wild blond hair... and such a young outdoorsman!
Watch out, one day he will want to go *snow camping*! Nice post and photos... thank you as always. Hugs, -Anne

  6. Loved the pictures of Fritz and his tent, Kendal. I loved the commentary about Carolyn even more, LOL! The kids certainly have their own personalities, don't they! Diane R. :-)

'I think Fritz's wild hair gives him his own character... I love it so untamed!'
